Skin-friendliness is one of the most important values for us, along with environmental responsibility. We do our best to ensure that our diapers are suitable for even the most sensitive baby skin.

Skin-friendliness is influenced by many different factors, such as the materials used in the production and the fit of the diaper. The raw materials used in our diapers are carefully selected, using only soft and safe materials. Wherever possible, we favour Nordic raw material manufacturers. We do not add any unnecessary chemicals such as oils or fragrances to our diapers. The main raw material used in our diapers is domestic cellulose, which is completely chlorine-free, and therefore also dioxin-free. The cellulose we use is not bleached with chemicals but with 100% pure oxygen. This is a safer and more skin-friendly solution for the child’s skin as well as for our environment.

Moomin Baby diapers also contain no allergenic substances such as latex, glyphosate, formaldehyde or phthalates. When it comes to skin-friendliness, the fit of the diaper is also important. When the diaper fits the baby well, the child will not develop skin irritating abrasions or harmful imprints. The fabrics and plastics used in Moomin Baby diapers are highly breathable, so that the baby’s skin can breathe even when the diaper is being used. The carefully selected materials also absorb the liquids in, keeping the baby’s skin dry so that the diaper does not irritate the skin.

We are also constantly working towards making diapers that are more skin-friendly. Moomin Baby diapers are made in collaboration with the Allergy, Skin and Asthma Association and we will continue our long-standing collaboration in the future. Our diapers are also dermatologically tested.
