The main absorbent used in our diapers is pure, 100% FSC® certified cellulose from Finnish forests. The cellulose we use is bleached with oxygen and is therefore 100% chlorine-free. The absorbent core is wrapped in a non-woven fabric with liquid-permeable and repellent properties. A small amount of superabsorbent is mixed with the cellulose in the absorbent layer. The superabsorbent (SAP) we use is a completely safe, hypoallergenic substance that has been used in children’s diapers for over 20 years and has been proven safe. We are constantly striving to make our diapers more eco-friendly and therefore use significantly less superabsorbent than many leading brands. Despite this, our diapers work efficiently, their design evenly distributes moisture throughout the diaper and keeps skin dry.

The top and outer layers of our diapers, which are in direct contact with baby’s skin, are made of soft and skin-friendly materials. The inside is made of polypropylene fibre fabric and the outside of the diaper is made of breathable polyethylene plastic and a non-woven fabric blend of polypropylene and polyethylene.

Diaper fasteners such as tapes are made of polypropylene and polyethylene and leakage guards are made of polypropylene plastic. All the adhesives used in the sheaths are FDA-approved hot melt adhesives, the same as those used in the food industry, for example in chocolate wrappers.

Moomin Baby diapers are an all-round carefree and safe choice for your child, as all the raw materials used meet the strict criteria for chemicals set by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the Allergy, Skin and Asthma Federation. Moomin Baby diapers never contain fragrances, dyes or creams that can irritate baby’s delicate skin.
