Moomin Baby diapers differ from a regular disposable diaper in many ways, except for their absorbency. The biggest differences are, for example, the choice of raw materials, as all diapers are made from many different materials. The raw materials used in Moomin Baby diapers are carefully selected and meet the criteria of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the Allergy, Skin and Asthma Federation. The source of energy used in the production process also distinguishes eco-diaper manufacturing from regular diaper manufacturing. We use only solar energy and certified hydroelectric power to make Moomin Baby diapers – these renewable energy sources do not emit any carbon emissions. The heat generated in the production process is used to heat the production hall. The third major difference is the management of production waste; none of the waste from our production goes to landfill, all waste is recycled or incinerated for energy.
Moomin Baby diapers are manufactured taking into account the whole life cycle of the product from an environmental point of view, from the production of raw materials to the production of the diapers, the energy sources used, wholesale logistics and waste management. We are proud to say that Moomin Baby diapers are 100% carbon neutral. You can read more about our sustainability credentials here.
